On episode 18 Dave is joined by writer and producer Nik Sexton. A Newfoundlander who has spent the better part of his life on the mainland, Nik has worked on The Rick Mercer Report, Canada’s Worst Driver, and more recently This Hour has 22 minutes. Nik was kind enough to join Dave to chat about the years on those shows, and creating the hilarious Donnie Dumphy sketches which blossomed into a feature film “How To Be Deadly”. In more recent times, Nik directed a documentary about his grandmother and family titled “Me, Mom, and Covid”. A 33 minutes film which talks about his grandmother, Sara Sexton’s passing, and the initiate portrayal into her unwavering compassion for Nik’s eldest aunt, Edwina. Nik also chatted about the 8 weeks he spent south of the border covering the US election in the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic, as well as some of new projects he’s working on for the Tokyo Olympics and a new feature film titled “Skeet”
