The Tour de Ski, an eight-stage epic began on Friday in Val Müstair, Switzerland. Stage one's skate sprint saw Italy's Federico Pellegrino take his third sprint win in a row and a return of the speedy Swedes on the women's side. Linn Svahn (SWE) won the women's sprint with Jessie Diggins in second and Rosie Brennan in fourth.
