In this second episode in which he recounts his visit to Israel in the midst of its war with Hamas, Dr. Jeff Myers unpacks the complexities of subjects like just war theory and what Christians can do to help restore peace to the land where Jesus lived. He explains that Hamas attacked Israel not to achieve a military objective, but to achieve its long-stated goal to eradicate its enemy nation and notes how Israel engages the conflict from the exact opposite position: seeking only to defend itself while limiting civilian casualties when at all possible.  He points out that Gaza, ruled by Hamas, has received 15 times the aid it cost to rebuild Europe after World War II and says believers need to understand the motives of Hamas and how they are driving the brutal war or they risk being part of "a conspiracy of ignorance."
