This week John & Amy talk with Kevin Whelan. Kevin is a singer, guitarist & founding member of The Wrens. Kevin shares his experience of The Wrens as a band that “never made it” & the dynamic that guides this lifelong project that may or may not be broken up. John, Amy & Kevin discuss the mythical status of The Wrens & the reason & culture surrounding the bands last record Meadowlands. We also hear about the influence of Kevin’s kids on his new record Aeon Station (Sub Pop Records) & his plans for live performance in the near future.
