William Brent is the Chief of Communications in an NGO called Power For All; which is a global coalition of 200 private and public organizations campaigning to deliver universal energy access before 2030 through the power of decentralized, renewable electricity. In this episode, William gives us massive insights into what it's like being part of an NGO like Power For All, and having the privilege of working in many developing countries in Africa and Asia, and in most cases seeing rural electrification projects go online and provide communities with their first introduction to modern energy.  We discuss a lot about the Sustainable Development Goal 7 that was set by the UN, with a target to eradicate energy poverty by 2030. William makes a good case for decentralized renewable energy as the best solution to achieve the SDG7 goals and the important role it and many other factors are going to play in the massive countdown to 2030. ___________________________ FInd out more about the work Power For All is doing by visiting their website here: www.powerforall.org Connect with William on Twitter @mrcleantech or via LinkedIn You can get in touch with us at the email: [email protected] ___________________________ Special thanks to Jensen for providing the music used in this episode, you can find out more about his work here or with the link below.  theenergytalk.mystrikingly.com/blog/podcast-music
