An underwhelming trade for Jake Guentzel, Steelers to meet with Russell Wilson

The Fan Morning Show - A podcast by Audacy - Fridays

Hour 1 with Dorin Dickerson and Adam Crowley: The Penguins traded Jake Guentzel to the Carolina Hurricanes. The Pens lost 6-0 to Washington. They knew their guy was gone. It was a disaster. We discussed the return. The Penguins didn't even get a top 5 prospect from Carolina in their system. This return is underwhelming and pathetic. It's going to be a dark time for the Penguins. The rebuild is not easy and takes time. Chicago hasn't been able to bounce back. Detroit finally is better. The Guentzel trade signals a rebuild more than anything and doesn't help now. Michael Bunting is ok, but Crowley gives the trade a C-. Dorin gives it a C-. Austin says a C. We're very concerned with what the future holds for the Penguins. It's not good. The Steelers are bringing Russell Wilson in for an interview. Art Rooney II, Mike Tomlin, and Omar Khan all confirmed they believe in Kenny Pickett during recent interviews with the media. Crowley thinks if Wilson is signed, Kenny Pickett is not the Steelers future. Dorin disagrees and thinks 2025 could be the time for Pickett to be the guy.
