Brad Spielberger, Tyler Kennedy, Pirates sign Aroldis Chapman

The Fan Morning Show - A podcast by Audacy - Fridays

Hour 3 with Dorin Dickerson and Pat Bostick: Brad Spielberger of Pro Football Focus joined the show. Brad likes Zac Robinson, who also worked at PFF for a time. He works with multiple quarterbacks with the Rams, who changed their offense this season. Puka Nacuka had a breakout rookie year. People think very high of Robinson around the NFL. The process to hire coaches is going slower than in the past. Brad thinks there are less predetermined hires and more in-depth searches. A better offense can help Kenny Pickett play better. Biggest needs in the draft? The Steelers pick 20th overall. Brad thinks Bo Nix, Michael Penix, or JJ McCarthy could be in play because the most important position in sports needs to be addressed. Cornerback is also an important need. Where should the Steelers look early in the draft? Cornerback is going to be a critical spot. Quarterback is probably not the No. 1 priority in the Steelers' mind. Former Penguin Tyler Kennedy joined the show. The Penguins lost 5-2 in Arizona and scored on their own net. Something must be done. Tyler thinks Malkin needs to be taken off the top power play line. Kyle Dubas has his work cut out for him at the trade deadline. Could Jake Guentzel be traded? TK thinks he might be the next captain of the Penguins once Crosby retires, but Guentzel is going to be too old when that happens to lead the team to a championship. The Pirates have reportedly signed lefty reliever and World Series Champion Aroldis Chapman. How does this help the pitching staff? It lengthens the bullpen, and can also help the rotation.
