Hines Ward for WR coach? Changes to Penguins power play, Super Bowl Opening Night

The Fan Morning Show - A podcast by Audacy - Fridays

Hour 1 with Dorin Dickerson, Jeff Hathhorn, and Mark Kaboly: Who should be the next receivers coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers? They don't have time to see if someone's going to work out from college to the pros, but needs a proven guy in Dorin's mind. Mark throws Hines Ward's name as a possibility, but do these players remember him or know who he is? Hines has the personality to work in the Steelers locker room and can help build the culture.Who would you hire to the Steelers coaching staff? Mark doesn't think the current changes, outside of Arthur Smith, are substantial moves. Ron Rivera is out in Washington, why not bring him in for an interview? Jeff thinks Mike Tomlin and Arthur Smith might go out together if things fail. Evgeni Malkin and Erik Karlsson are off the power play. The power play only hits at 13%. The Penguins were better in the early 2000s when they had half the talent of this team. Things are changing out of the All-Star break. Super Bowl Opening Night was last night with stages for players to talk and live interview sessions. Fans are able to buy tickets to the event. Jeff and Mark can't stand the event, which is still relatively new. Mark thinks it's more of a show than anything now. Tuesday afternoon used to be media day and multiple outlets would show it live.
