Brad Spielberger of Pro Football Focus joined the show. Do we owe an apology to Brock Purdy? He's good and trusts Kyle Shanahan, but is not a Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes talent. He's a good NFL quarterback. Dan Campbell didn't kick the field goal twice to extend the Lions lead or tie the game. Campbell used third down to get the 4th down play a few times, but it didn't work. Brad didn't love the second 4th down play. The Lions kicker on kicks 48+ yards is the worst of any kicker with 20 kicks from that distance, so that had to be in Campbell's mind. Patrick Mahomes avoids sacks and limits negative plays. Tom Brady vs. Patrick Mahomes will be a debate for years.
