Pirates potential 1-2 punch in the rotation, should Jarry start a game? The Bechtold Breakdown

The Fan Morning Show - A podcast by Audacy - Fridays

Hour 2 with Dorin Dickerson and Adam Crowley: The Pirates are going to have a great 1-2 punch with Paul Skenes and Jared Jones. They've lost the battle (game in Philly) but won the war by promoting Jones to the majors. He struck out 28 batters in his first three starts and pitched over six innings yesterday.. Jones throws 98 with regularity like a reliever and Crowley is worried he could have an elbow injury. Crowley is worried about Jared Jones' long-term health, but Dorin thinks we should take the good and let him do his thing. Derek Shelton confirmed David Bednar is still his closer. He pointed to Bednar's stats last season. Jesse Marshall of The Athletic thinks Ned needs a breather and the Penguins should go to Tristan Jarry Saturday against Boston. Jarry hasn't played in two weeks and putting him in there is risky. Dorin would play Jarry, but Austin and Crowley wouldn't because we don't trust Jarry. The Bechtold Breakdown!
