Rudolph to the rescue, what to make of Pickett, college football bowl games

The Fan Morning Show - A podcast by Audacy - Fridays

Hour 1: Dorin is back! Mason Rudolph will start Saturday in Baltimore. There are reasons the Steelers defense is not great right now with tons of injuries. At quarterback, the Steelers are poor at evaluating what they have. Mason Rudolph stands in the pocket with lots of poise and makes defenses more on their toes compared to Pickett or Trubisky. A defense has to respect his play. Pickett didn't take chances deep and only took care of the football while being very conservative. Why can't people keep their college allegiances separate in regards to the Steelers?? Pitt guys aren't rooting against Pat Freiermuth and Allen Robinson for being Penn State guys. West Virginia center Zach Frazier is good enough to be a serious option in the draft. Do people really root against Pickett because he went to Pitt? We think a few might have a bias, but pro Pitt people also have a bias towards him. Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season. What is considered a successful season?  A texter called out Crowley for being a Pickett hater. He found an old tweet on draft night of him liking the Pickett pick and thought his chances of being a bust are low. Crowley thinks there are only two options at QB next year: bring in a guy, or re-sign Mason Rudolph. The 12 team playoff might save college football bowl season. So many players opted out and didn't play. Dorin proposed paying guys who would opt out to play in the bowl game. Something has to change to make bowl games the best they can be with top talent and not Georgia winning by 60.
