Who should start Saturday? Tomlin comments on Kenny Pickett, potential playoff opponents

The Fan Morning Show - A podcast by Audacy - Fridays

Hour 2: Mike Tomlin did NOT name a starting QB after the game. It has to be Mason Rudolph. We have no objections. Rudolph has the hot hand and it's only one game unless the Steelers get help to make the playoffs. The defense is not what it was before injuries. Tomlin told Steelers.com before the game that Rudolph earned a chance to build on what he did. He also said Pickett was in a "much better place" than before in the interview. We think the interview might have been mid-week. Kenny Pickett was reportedly healthy. Not dressing a healthy Pickett is a terrible decision by Tomlin for Crowley in case Rudolph went down and Trubisky had to guide the team! A caller saw new confidence from Mason Rudolph and deserves to start. It's not like you're going back to Ben or a star quarterback. Cale would not give Rudolph a REALISTIC shot at being the guy in 2024. Cale used to be a big Pickett supporter, and still somewhat is, but thinks the Steelers should find a better option. Who would you rather play in the playoffs? If the Steelers make the playoffs, they have to play on the road against Buffalo, Kansas City, or Miami. Callers weigh in on the Steelers quarterbacks. If Rudolph leads the Steelers to the playoffs, do you bring Pickett back as the starter? We discuss the candidacy for Rudolph moving forward in 2024.
