#55 "JUST KICK THE BALL!" ~Rafaela Schmitz, Evergreen Branding Photography

Rafaela really liked photography but never thought she could be a photographer.In 2013, she took her first steps with photography professionally, shooting photos of friends' children. Still working in IT, she edited photos in the evenings and shot on weekends. "It was overwhelming at times!" she says. And then the universe took Rafaela from Brazil to Calgary. That's when she decided to dedicate her life to photography."I have very few photos of myself when I was growing up. My parents couldn't afford a camera." Rafaela's business is how she helps people avoid that feeling of loss.Rafaela started Branding Photography to support local businesses and because many people asked her to use the natural and spontaneous way she works with kids for business social media and LinkedIn profiles.When I asked Rafaela how she turned her love for photography into an actual business, she said:"The most important thing is to be brave and kick the ball. Start the game.
