#67 Purpose Driven Marketing with Caitlin Lacey @Facebook

Caitlin Lacey has worked for Facebook for over 10 years. She currently leads the Emerging Platforms Business Marketing Team at Facebook and is a mom to two little girls. Or as Caitlin says it best in the episode, she's..."raising strong-willed women for the next generation!"Caitlin and I met almost a year ago at an online Facebook Boost event for female entrepreneurs. I connected with her on LinkedIn and invited her to participate in a podcast interview about what it's like to work for Facebook/Instagram in a role focused on helping business owners succeed.When I asked Caitlin why she's so passionate about helping female entrepreneurs succeed, she shared:"I've had really strong female leaders in my life for a very long time. Before I entered the corporate world, I worked for a restaurant in San Fransisco called Umami. It was run by men, owned by men, but they hired incredibly powerful, strong female staff members. That community of women really instilled in me this desire to help and lift other women around me. All of those women are still incredible powerhouse people. And we all just had fun together for a few years bar tending in San Fransisco. One of them has gone on to create her own business down in southern California.
