“If anything happens to me… I hope someone finds this.”  So goes a recovered message from Vanessa Chalkstone; sent while drifting alone at sea near Block Island, in a kayak, after her family boarded a mysterious, frozen ferry. That ferry was the Shenandoah. In Episode 8, the late Mayor Burke's final act is revealed. Vanessa’s voice logs might be the most damning evidence yet. Vanessa may have survived, but she’s now forever changed. And there is a sound in the distance. A low, undying Hum. Whatever happened on the Shenandoah didn’t stay on the Shenandoah.
