Back in the late 90’s ned was one of the first brokers at E-Trade and went on to become the managing director of the company. He was also part of the stock exchange transformation where he developed two pan-Asian exchanges.Ned experienced the dot-com boom with one of the original Fintech companies and consulted 8 securities when they launched the first Robo Advisor in Asia. This all led up to Ned’s current focus which is as the Founder and CEO of Bambu. Bambu is a global leader in the robo-advisory space working with some of the biggest names in FinTech and banking. Launched in 2016 they are a growing team of 80 people who have raised around $15m and are about to raise another $25m.They have also won a slew of Fintech and Startup awards including one particular award that we will speak about later in the show. They aim to be profitable in the next 6-12 months and have their sights set on becoming the global leaders in the space.Ned is also an impressive athlete choosing to put himself through some grueling ultra-endurance races which we’ll get into a little later.Welcome Ned, it’s great to have you on the show and I’m looking forward to the conversation.***Thanks for listening! If you have a FinTech project that you would like to accelerate with a partner that will take care of your design and development to allow you to focus on your area of genius, we’d love to help you.Head over to our website to book a call with one of our principles.
