Qiane Matata-Sipu is a journalist, photographer, podcaster, entrepreneur and activist. In 2019 she launched Nuku Women, a multimedia project with the ambitious goal of interviewing and photographing 100 indigenous wāhine. As one of the founders and spokespeople of SOUL (Save Our Unique Landscape) she has also played an important role in occupying and protecting Ihumātao.
