The Fox News Rundown - A podcast by FOX News Radio
Homelessness in the United States is up 12 percent, to more than 650,000 people which is the highest level ever reported by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Across the country, states are encountering the same problems like soaring rents, declining pandemic assistance, and a lack of affordable housing. Yet, in the city of Reno, Nevada, government services are bringing their homeless numbers down. Division Director of the Washoe County Housing and Homeless Services in Nevada, Dana Searcy explains exactly how the construction of Nevada Cares Campus, a large tent facility for the housing of the homeless, became a huge success that is getting folks off the street and into permanent housing. On October 7th, Hamas terrorists launched a surprise attack on Israel, killing over one thousand Israeli men, women, and children. Now, the Israel Defense Force is locked in a campaign in Gaza to eradicate the terror group that killed and captured so many of their people. Today, we revisit Dana Perino's interview with former foreign policy advisor to President Bush, Dan Senor, about his new book "The Genius of Israel." Dan discusses where he was when he learned of the October 7th Hamas terror attacks, the rampant antisemitism in America brought to light by the war in the Middle East, and how his book unpacks how Israeli citizens unite and project resilience in the face of great adversity.
