Extra: Giving Attention To America's ADHD Problem

The Fox News Rundown - A podcast by FOX News Radio

A recent study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that almost one in nine children is diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (commonly referred to as ADHD). Shockingly, nearly one-third of these children have not received any treatment, and the shortage of Adderall, a drug used to treat ADHD, is exacerbating the situation. Thomas Kersting, a psychotherapist and the author of "Raising Healthy Teenagers," recently joined host\ Dave Anthony on the FOX News Rundown to discuss ADHD, how it is diagnosed, and how it can be treated. Kersting, like many experts, agrees that cell phones have exacerbated the problem over the last few years. However, he also raises questions about how often and easily the disorder is diagnosed. On the FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear more of our conversation with psychotherapist Thomas Kersting and learn even more about America’s attention problem and how it's impacting our youth.
