New research out this past week raised an even bigger red flag about junk food and the amount people are eating The study on "ultra-processed" foods, items that contain numerous ingredients with no nutritional value, found a myriad of health risks for people who consume these products. It linked the consumption of common snacks and other products to cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, depression, and anxiety. It also cites that nearly 58 percent of all calories consumed by Americans come from ultra-processed items. Registered dietitian nutritionist, author, and adjunct professor of nutrition at NYU, Dr. Lisa Young, joined host Lisa Brady on the FOX News Rundown to discuss the study and the risks involved in eating these foods.
