Suspect In Gilgo Beach Murders Rex Heuermann Appears In Court

The FOX True Crime Podcast w/ Emily Compagno - A podcast by Fox Audio Network

On Tuesday, Long Island serial killer suspect Rex Heuermann appeared in court for the first time since his arraignment. Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney will serve as the lead prosecutor on the case. He revealed during a press conference after the hearing that a "massive amount" of evidence was collected during the investigation. Heuermann has pleaded not guilty to the six counts of murder with which he's charged.   Attorney and Retired NYPD Inspector Paul Mauro discusses what we know about the timeline of the events and reveals which pieces of evidential information were key to the investigation. He explains the technological limitations of the time and shares how new investigative techniques were used to name Heuermann as a suspect. Later, Paul discusses why he's skeptical that Rex Heuermann can be connected to other bodies that have been found.
