Cancel Culture

Podcast Notes: Cancel Culture What is the problem with cancelling people? Jesus invited the “cancellable” people into his presence. Why is cancel culture dangerous? What happens if someone cancels us? Is anyone truly “cancellable?” Do Christians tend to cancel people too? Our own personal example of being cancelled or seeing someone cancelled. Cancelling stems from pride and judgement (mention previous podcast on pride) “The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?” Jeremiah 17:9 NLT “And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life. But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then.” Matthew 19:29-30 NLT “Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.” Galatians 1:10 NLT “The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.” John 15:19 NLT --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thefreedompodcast/support
