Welcome back! Today Katie and Alexis are talking about modesty and what the Bible says about this topic. We are reminded that modesty is not just in our dress but in our actions and heart as well. We dive into our own personal stories how God has transformed our hearts and minds in this realm. Definition: the quality of not being too proud or confident about yourself or your abilities. Or: propriety in dress, speech, or conduct. What does the Bible refer to when it talks about modesty? When we look at ourselves, (examining the interior & exterior) do we look like we are disciples of Christ or the world? What is my heart posture? — A godly person strives to do everything with a “God-ward” perspective. “The key to understanding what constitutes modesty in dress is to examine the attitudes and intents of the heart. Those whose hearts are inclined toward God will make every effort to dress modestly, decently, and appropriately. Those whose hearts are inclined toward self will dress in a manner designed to draw attention to themselves with little or no regard for the consequences to themselves or others.” (gotquestions.org) --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thefreedompodcast/support
