So we are looking at the exact time that Russia moved into a communist government. The book explains the first-hand accounts of men who were imprisoned by the Russian government. I believe that there are three philosophical or even psychological lessons which we can take from this book which will allow us to cope with the stresses of modern day world. I believe that if we look to men and women who have come through traumatic events in their life that we can use their same coping principles to help us to lead better lives. In this episode, I’ll be covering the following 3 concepts. 1. How acceptance can cure our minds of fear. 2. Why asking ourselves the question “What can I own up to?” alleviates trauma from our past. 3. Finally the difference between relative truth and absolute truth; and how this can help us to make better decisions in our lives.
