Today on The Geek Buddies, we review HBO's Deadwood the Movie which premiered last week on the pay channel. The film sees the return of almost every one of your favorite characters from the iconic Western series that starred Timothy Olyphant, Ian McShane, John Hawkes, Paula Malcolmson, Robin Weigert, Kim Dickens, W. Earl Brown, Anna Gunn, Molly Parker, Brad Dourif, Gerald McRaney and Dayton Callie. After a 10 year hiatus and numerous news items teasing a feature film or two made for TV films, HBO and David Milch have brought us a film that is somewhere in between and serves a series finale for the beloved show. The synopsis reads: In the “Deadwood” film, the indelible characters of the series are reunited after ten years to celebrate South Dakota’s statehood.
