This incredible man was born in Washington, IN in 1917, attended Pasadena CC then Berkley before transferring to Purdue where he earned a BS in AG Engineering in 1952, achieved an Eagle Scout in 1935, served in WWII from 1941-1945 (still has his original Jeep Willys from 1945), survived an avalanche, has been shot at, met gangsters, loves red beets, received the Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017 and retired just this past February…after 57 years…from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources as Chief Surveyor being the oldest state employee at 102 years old!!!
