We have a guest interview, we're going to talk about how she built it with Patti Whiteye. So without further ado, I'm going to bring on Patti Whiteye. She's someone that just caught my eye right away. She's been a Goal Digger, someone that I've known for quite some time. We have a lot in common, but she was just one of those people that we had a chance to talk on the phone one time, and I was like, "Ohhhh!" It's just so refreshing to connect with other women that are operating at the same level, have huge goals, want to impact, want to just make great income as well, but just goes after it. And I really believe that success leaves clues. Welcome on Patti. We're so excited to have you and hear about you and your journey and your success. So let's just take it back a minute. So I know you've been in the professional career space for a long time. Tell us a bit about your career, your corporate world. And then when did you get into entrepreneurship? Can you kind of bring us up to speed a little bit? Patti Whiteye: Sure. Yeah. It's my story is really long. I'm going to give you a really shortened version of it. I started teaching in 1991, High School math teacher. And, when I met my husband, I quit my job and moved to be with him where his job was. And I had a hard time getting back into teaching 'cause they weren't hiring. So we actually owned our own karate studio for 10 years. And then I got back into teaching and when my kids all left, I have three children. They're all gone away, I have two boys in the Marine Corps and a daughter who goes to school in Florida. And when they left, I really felt that whole empty nest thing. Like really empty. And I started with my company because of the products. I actually just, I had no clue that this could possibly be something for me to do. And I started the products. I really loved them. I'm like, "you know what? I'm going to look into this some more". And I realized that this is way bigger than helping people with products. And so I set a goal that I wanted to retire from my teaching career and I was able to do that in January. Kimberly Olson: Congratulations! That's such a huge thing, because so many people talk about it and you don't hear it as much as we'd like to. So when you do cross that milestone, we need to stop and celebrate that. We need to say it can be done with hard work, tenacity, just keeping your eye on the prize. It can be done. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thegoaldiggergirl/support
