The Case of Charles Dexter Ward part 2

The Good Friends of Jackson Elias - A podcast by Paul Fricker, Matthew Sanderson and Scott Dorward - Tuesdays

We’re back and we’re researching our family histories. Nothing but wholesome stuff here. Surely everyone’s ancestors faced an angry mob or two. It was just the done thing in those times. Main Topic: The Case of Charles Dexter Ward part 2 Following last episode’s look into the story’s origins, we are continuing our investigation into HP Lovecraft’s novel The Case of Charles Dexter Ward. This time, we move on to one of the more action-packed parts of the book, and, indeed, of Lovecraft’s work in general. The jilted Ezra Weeden gathers together an investigator organisation that might be more accurately described as an angry mob, and leads a raid on the Curwen farm in Pawtuxet. Expect lots of sinister chants, indescribable odours, and beams of light shooting into the sky for some reason.
