2. What can we expect from COP27?

The Greentalk podcast - A podcast by Veyt

The annual meeting for tackling the climate crisis is right around the corner. The 27th climate conference will take place in Egypt on the 6th of November with almost 200 countries attending. This year has been defined by reoccurring environmental catastrophes, from drought to floods, forest fires, and heatwaves, which have now become an everyday reality of our lives It appears to me that the question is not whether we are doing enough to fight climate change because we clearly aren’t. What can we expect from the 27th Climate Conference? Will they make countries take more responsibility for their emissions? In this episode with climate change fighting pioneer Svein Tveitdal, we discuss the importance of COPs in meeting our climate targets and what he expects from its 27th meeting. Guest: Svein Tveitdal, Founder and CEO of Klima2020, former Assistant Executive Director of the UN Environment Program (UNEP). Host: Léo Robert, Green Power Analyst, Greenfact.
