Specifically, Jake founded Books for the Better Book Drive and tells us about the idea and the wonderful ways he is making it grow. This is a must listen conversation for kids and adults! Jake Matlof is a voracious reader and firmly believes that all children should have access to books at all stages of development. Jake founded Books for the Better Book Drive and has collected over 4,500 gently used children’s books over two years for delivery to neighborhoods in South Los Angeles. He has partnered with nonprofit organizations, such One to One Outreach, Girls Club of Los Angeles, The Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center, and Community Build. Jake is a rising 9th grader at the Geffen Academy at UCLA and enjoys playing tennis, skiing, reading fantasy and philosophy, creative writing, and spending time with family and friends.
