Joy began training with Yvonne Mounsey at Westside School of Ballet in 1999 and became the first American to graduate from the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet School. Later she joined the Bolshoi Ballet as a soloist in 2012, before becoming the prima ballerina of the Kremlin ballet in 2014.
