Michael is politically active in his community; he sits on the board of the Mid City West Neighborhood Council, the Metro Sustainability Council, and the Los Angeles Bicycle Advisory Committee. He is the founder of Streets for All (streetsforall.org), an organization that fights for transportation equity on the streets of Los Angeles.
