"How we respond and react to things, is all a reflection of what our childhood was like, essentially, and what we lack, which is always goes back to not feeling loved enough." Gabe Nosseir As we evolve as parents, we ultimately realize that every trigger that we experience never has anything to do with what we think is causing the trigger, but is in fact a part of us that is unhealed. It can be so easy to project our wounds onto the ones we love the most, and if we don't heal from our traumas, we will continue to pass them to our children, and their children, and their children. It's an endless cycle, so if we really want to change the future for our children, we must heal. Gabe Nosseir, a transformative life coach and an awakened father, gifts us with a beautiful perspective from a man who is on his own journey to living a more conscious life and raising conscious children. He gives us so much insight on how to hold space for our children's BIG emotions, to become more aware of our own wounds that must heal, and simple ways we can become better parents right now. Can we love our children unconditionally? Can we begin to shift our focus to truly becoming the human we want our children to be? Can we hold space for our kids to be them, and stop trying to make them into someone who makes us comfortable? Yes, we can. It takes courage and practice and this episode will inspire you to be the human you want your kids to be. I hope you love this conversation as much as I did! I love discussing this transformation from a Father's perspective. Many men have been raised having to oppress and ignore deep emotions. This "bottling-up" of energy creates a life of fear-based living. You can see this in the world and the way they cover this pain up, is through ego and projecting their pain onto others. As a mom of two boys, it is so important to me to raise them as gentle, loving, strong, and beautiful humans who are emotionally intelligent. Sometimes I feel as if I am failing, but I know that with the continued growth that I do, that will ultimately influence them more.
