Growing up in Wichita Falls in the 80’s meant being prepared for the sky to open up and swallow you whole. Tornados, floods, and extreme heat all meant constant eyes on the weather. I have always loved the calming delivery of John Cameron. When some gunned for sensation, he was able to keep cool and calm despite the dramatic and constant change in weather. It's been a pleasure watching him serve Texoma since 1999. I recently spoke with John Cameron about his years as a meteorologist, how he found his passion for it, his love for drums, music, and maps, and what’s next in his life. Enjoy.
