"Today’s “The Jazz Hole Live” set comes from the Owl Music Parlor in Brooklyn. The group that performed there on June 16th was Curtis + Garabedian + Sperrazza, a Brooklyn-based trio that recently released their debut album “New Year” on Outside In Music. The trio consists of GRAMMY nominated alto saxophonist Caleb Wheeler Curtis, bassist Noah Garabedian and drummer Vinnie Sperrazza and they describe their sound as improvisations, compositions, sketches, inside jokes, aspirations, dreams, challenges, and possibilities. Together, they set out to challenge themselves and push past their natural inclinations in the hopes of creating something sublime. Hear for yourself (wether on the album or on today’s live set) how this band is flying high with creativity and spontaneity!
