"Tune in to The Jazz Hole with Linus to hear brand new jazz sounds. Today that includes music from “Sand Storm”, a brand new album by Kaze & Ikue Mori. Kaze is an international quartet that brings together trumpeter Natsuki Tamura and pianist Satoko Fujii (two of Japan’s foremost improviser-composers) with trumpeter Christian Pruvost and drummer Peter Orins from the French improvisers collective Muzzix. They are joined by the pioneering laptop player Ikue Mori. You also get to enjoy a selection from “Aura” by the Argentinian saxophonist and composer Camila Nebbia and from “4K” by the Ottawa-based quartet Modasaurus (led by Carleton University professor, pianist and composer James McGowan).
