4: JOMO for the Very Online, with Aaron Reynolds

The JOMOcast with Christina Crook - A podcast by Christina Crook / JOMO

“Notifications are the devil and I work hard to have relevant ones.” This is the kind of zinger you can expect from this week's conversation with Aaron Reynolds, creator of Effin' Birds. Christina first met Aaron at fireside conference - a tech-free event for techies - three years ago. Since then, he's been an unexpected and enthusiastic supporter of the JOMO movement. When it comes to our relationship with digital, he says: "It’s always a work in progress. You’ve got to keep thinking about it.” Aaron Reynolds is a humourist, professional speaker, and the man behind the wildly popular @EffinBirds and @swear_trek Twitter accounts. When not on Twitter, you can find Aaron producing a series of podcasts and at ComicCon dressed as George Lucas. He has been a baseball writer, a fine art printer, and a mall Santa Claus photographer. Aaron was raised in Mississauga, Canada, a suburb where they cut down all the trees and named the streets after them. www.effinbirds.com jomocast.compatreon.com/jomocasthover.com/jomocast Hosted on Acast.
