TJHP EP055 | SJHL Goalie Hit And Player Banned For Social Media Video

TJHP EP055 -  This weeks episode of The Junior Hockey Podcast, Gresko is joined by Pauly and Rainer. The boys discuss the SJHL incident that occurred when a player decked a goalie and was given a 25 game suspension by the league. But since the incident, he has now been banned from the SJHL for a video that went viral on social media with him having some choice words on the incident. We talk about the negative effect that social media can have for young athletes and more specifically junior hockey players that are attempting to get college scholarships. Along with this we discuss how often we are seeing goalies getting involved in contact hits this 2019-20 NHL season. We wrap this week's episode up with the common storyline of junior hockey teams having low roster numbers and we give an update on what teams folded and which teams are on the verge of ending their season early.
