Sylvia Plath’s damn fig tree. I wrote these words in a comic-sans-esque font using a pruned finger on the foggy glass door of the shower. They were barely readable now, the hot mist clearing out the letters nearly as fast as I’d dazedly written them. I’d been ruminating, as one does within the three cubic metres of a shower, being pelted on with a stream of hot air and water, on career — the non-linear experience of it all.
