BORREBISSEBÅND.02: Club Metro

We continue broadcasting the sound of a shoebox found in Esbjerg, Denmark, once belonging to a crew of oil rig workers from Bristol and containing cassette tapes filled with mesmerising techno, house, trance and everything in between – we call them Borrebissebånd [the roughneck tapes]. In this second episode of our series we take you inside one of Scotland’s most legendary and iconic nightclubs, the Metro Nightclub in the Saltcoats area, which in 2011 closed its famous doors after 22 years offering clubbers endless nights of euphoria and loads of ecstasy.
