Episode 106 Lisa Kekaula

Since 1990, singer Lisa Kekaula has been the lead vocalist of The Bellrays. From 2003 to 2007, Lisa was part of a cast of vocalists who sang live with the surviving members of the MC5. Lisa has also been featured on many singles and album tracks for other artists including,  British house music band Basement Jaxx, and Crystal Method. In 2014, Lisa contributed vocals to two tracks for the Re-Licked album of Iggy and the Stooges songs re-recorded by former Stooges guitarist James Williamson. Lisa has also done recordings with Williamson to help fight Hawaiian homelessness. Lisa is married to Bellrays guitarist Robert Vennum, also of the Bellrays. In 2014, Lisa and Vennum released an album under the name Lisa and the Lips.
