His vast body of research is used throughout the planet, and he has supervised students in four languages across five continents. Dr Pauly is presently based out of the University of British Columbia as the Principal Investigator of the Sea Around Us project, devoted to studying, documenting and promoting policies to mitigate the impact of fisheries on the world’s marine ecosystems.
