In today’s program we continue our forest management investigative series, focusing today on the forests located in Northern British Columbia.  Joining us for this episode is Michelle Connolly, the Director of Conservation North. Michelle has been a dedicated volunteer in the environmental movement for the last 25 years. This passion led her to obtain a Masters of Science in Forest Disturbance Ecology from the University of Northern BC. Michelle spends much of her personal time exploring and admiring the natural forests in her area.  Mrs. Connolly has worked as a biologist for the federal government, a large environmental NGO, as a coordinator for a climate change research program, and briefly as a forestry technician for the BC government. She has also been an advocate for First Nations. Conservation North is a 100% volunteer-run community group based out of Prince George BC, and is a science-based, and donation-supported conservation group.
