In today’s program we continue our series on the conservation of humanity, dissecting the Covid 19 corona virus and the massive and unwarranted over-reaction perpetrated by governments around the world. Joining us for today’s episode is Dr. Jay Bhattacharya. Dr. Bhattacharya is a Professor of Medicine at Stanford University. He obtained his MD in 1997, and his PhD in Economics in 2000, both at Standford University. He is a research associate at the National Bureau of Economics Research, a senior fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, and at the Stanford Freeman Spogli Institute. He directs the Stanford Center on the Demography of Health and Aging and holds courtesy appointments as Professor in Economics and in Health Research and Policy. Dr. Bhattacharya’s research focuses on the economics of health care around the world with a particular emphasis on the health and well-being of vulnerable populations. His peer-reviewed research has been published in economics, statistics, legal, medical, public health, and health policy journals. Dr. Bhattacharya is one of three authors and primary signatories of the “Great Barrington Declaration”, a document which criticizes the present heavy handed covid-19 global response. The declaration has been now seen world wide and has been signed by over 40,000 medical practitioners, over 13,000 health scientists, and over 727,000 concerned citizens.
