Campaigning for Fair Pensions for Women in the UK, with Carol May
Midlife & Beyond with Jo Blackwell - A podcast by Jo Blackwell

The Back to 60 Campaign recently took the UK Government to court over the decision to raise the pension age for women born in the 50s and 60s. At the time of this conversation, the case was in judicial review. The Supreme Court ultimately ruled for the Government. as the aim is to bring women's pension age in line with men's. The campaign's argument regarding the fairness of the speed of the changes does not seem to have been addressed. Campaigner, Carol May, explains what is happening, and why women should take control of their own finances at whatever age or stage they are at. About the Midlife and Beyond Podcast. Like all transitions, midlife can be messy and sad and glorious all at once, leaving many midlife women feeling rather alone and somewhat invisible. But what does this transition we are experiencing lead to? I'm Jo Blackwell, a photographer, author and coach for women who want more from their lives post 50, and I'm here to remind you that if we manage our health and embrace it, growing older can lead to one of the greatest periods of growth and transformation of our lives. The Midlife Movement was created to change minds about midlife and growing older, one story at a time. Because we only become invisible when when we stop seeing ourselves. email [email protected] to take part in the podcast or suggest guests.
