Protecting Your Children from High-Conflict, Alienating Behavior While Co-Parenting; with Filmmaker Ginger Gentile

The Moving On Pod - A podcast by Michelle Dempsey-Multack - Mondays

Just a quick note before we get into today's episode. The topic of parental alienation has been a bit of a controversial one in the world of divorce and co-parenting. It's important to remember that the views, ideas, beliefs, and opinions expressed in this episode are those of the guest, and not necessarily shared by the Moms Moving On team.  That said, both mothers and fathers alike have found themselves on the receiving end of hurtful comments made by the other parent to the children. Children almost never escape the wrath of a high-conflict co-parent, and in some extreme cases, this type of behavior can result in full alienation of the other parent. That's where our guest, Ginger Gentile, comes in. Ginger Gentile is an activist documentary filmmaker dedicated to addressing ignored issues and shedding light on solutions. Her film, Erasing Family, talks about the harsh realities of parental alienation which premiered at Lincoln Center in 2019 and showcased the trauma children face in high-conflict custody battles. Ginger passionately advocates for those who don't have a voice. You can learn more about Ginger, here. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
