In episode 140, we go back... back to The Matrix. Why are we returning to a film that neither Rob was fond of, you ask? The reason is because regular contributor to the Robcast Sarah Johnson has keen insights into the movie from an LGBTQ+ perspective that we wanted to share. During a great discussion, Sarah recounts the punitive legislation made against the LGBTQ+ community in the UK during the 80s. 90s, and into the 2000s, and how defiance is a key theme to this latest Matrix. And as she notes, defiance can take surprising forms. Sarah also has impeccable taste in action movies, so we had to get her take on a sequel to a film that revolutionised action and sci-fi cinema over twenty years ago.
