Munk Dialogue with Bret Stephens: Israel under attack

The Munk Debates Podcast - A podcast by Munk Foundation / iHeartRadio

Categories:

On Saturday morning, Israelis woke up to their world forever changed. The numbers are staggering: over 1000 civilians killed by Hamas and 150 taken hostage, including children and the elderly. The brutality of these crimes are even more shocking - dead bodies desecrated and paraded down the streets of Gaza to the applause of onlookers. This was Israel’s 9/11, and its response will be severe. So, what comes next? How many more countries could be pulled into this war? And how should the US and the West respond? To answer these questions and more, we’re joined by Bret Stephens. He’s a New York Times columnist, the former Editor-in-Chief of The Jerusalem Post, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and a past Munk Debater.   The host of the Munk Debates is Rudyard Griffiths Tweet your comments about this episode to @munkdebate or comment on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/munkdebates/ To sign up for a weekly email reminder for this podcast, send an email to [email protected].   To support civil and substantive debate on the big questions of the day, consider becoming a Munk Member at https://munkdebates.com/membership Members receive access to our 10+ year library of great debates in HD video, a free Munk Debates book, newsletter and ticketing privileges at our live events.
