You were told at Uni that come the end of your subjective assessment you should know what is going on with your patient and have a firm hypothesis... Then you just use your objective assessment to confirm or deny this hypothesis. Sounds easy right? But in reality it rarely is as easy as that. The subjective assessment is the first thing you do for a very good reason. It is the most important thing you do, as everything you do after that, including your objective assessment, treatments and rehab is all dependant upon your subjective assessment. So do a poor job with the subjective and it makes everything you do after that so much more difficult. Listen to this week's podcast to here my biggest tips to smash your subjective assessment to help you find the right patient diagnosis and know exactly what you need to focus your attention on with your objective assessment, treatment and rehab. PS. In the podcast I mentioned my 'Rehab & Return To Performance' 1-day course. Find out more about it here PPS. I'd love to hear what you think of the podcast. Please leave a review or even better, share the podcast with any physio you think it could help!
