Whaaaaat?! How did it get to 11am?!?! Boundaries, obligations & legal. Let’s go!!!! The Coffee Run ep408 THere are some things that you simply have to do in business and there are others that you can make choices around. For instance, as a service provider (coach, trainer, mentor, etc), you don't have to offer refunds unless the consumer is entitled to it through their statutory rights. For instance, change of mind - nope. There may be instances where you CHOOSE to offer a refund for whatever reason that might be, but you are not obliged to. It's crucial that you have a sales process that you use and that you can PROVE. It's crucial if you're processing sales on the internet that people can find your refund stance easily (for instance at the bottom of the sales page). It must be clear. I'd recommend creating and sticking to it. Becuase if someone happens to come back in 2months, 2 years, 5 years or even 7 years time (it happens, people!) you know for CERTAIN what your policies are. You can stand by them. And you know you've done the right thing by you and by them. Remember that each person who buys from you has to take personal responsibility for what they purchase and how. Your responsibility is to be clear, by transparent and deliver on what you've sold. Hope this helps.
